MJÖLK

Package design course in collaboration with TetraPak (2005).

TetraPak is world leading in methods of folding packages from a single tube using antiseptic cardboard. Taking this in consideration I developed a classical beverage package with a practical ability to change form.

As cardboard can over extend the package is transformable into two different stable shapes.

OPEN & CLOSING

After ripping off the top sealing the package opens when pressing the two sides together. The open package shape provide better grip and the wide opening makes it easier to drink straight from the package.

To close the package again, you simply press the other two sides together and it pops back to its original shape. It is also possible to open just one of the sides into a pipe if you prefer pouring it into a glass.
GRAPHICS

For the graphics I made a redesign of the classic Swedish milk producer Arlas skimmed milk package.

It was given a more playful approach to fit the new shape. The Arla cow is for now staring at you from the front instead of pictured from the side.
